Personal Information

I am a child of the late '60s with a teen daughter and a biochemist (now ex-) husband. Together we have traveled to well over 100 countries, which was our passion and often our raison d'Ítre over a quarter century spent together. SmellyPlaces, the Plaxco family travel website, was created in 2001 as a 10th wedding anniversary present (thank you, dear!) dedicated to chronicling our travels to some of the more aromatic and delicious regions of the world. Kevin is a professor at UCSB and a lifetime member of the Luxuriant Flowing Hair Club for Scientists. Our daughter Zoe's webpage is painfully outdated. But you can check it out anyway.
